Boltchip ("we," "us," or "our"), headquartered in Singapore, operates the website www.boltchip.com (the "Site") and provides AI-driven PPA Intelligence for Chip Design (the "Service").

We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site or use our Service.

Scope of this Policy: This Privacy Policy applies to our processing of personal data as a data controller (e.g., when you visit our website, contact us, or create an account). It does not apply to the extent we process personal data on behalf of our enterprise customers (e.g., data you upload into our Service as part of your company's design workflow). In those instances, we act as a data processor, and our processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with that enterprise customer.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, information generated through your use of the Service, and information obtained automatically.

  • Account & Contact Information: Name, business email address, job title, company name, and any information you provide when requesting a demo or contacting support.
  • Codebase & Design Data (Enterprise Users): If you integrate your design environment with the Service, we may process code snippets, RTL files, or EDA data. Note: For enterprise customers, this data is processed strictly under the customer's instructions via our DPA. We do not use our customers' proprietary IP to train our general AI models without explicit, separate consent.
  • Automatically Collected Data: Device information (IP address, browser type, operating system) and Activity Data (logs of prompts, commands, and feature usage) for security, debugging, and analytics.
  • AI-Specific Notifications (Singapore PDPA): In accordance with PDPC guidelines, we expressly notify you that we may use personal data (such as your communication data or publicly available data) to train, fine-tune, or improve our generative AI models for chip design, unless you opt-out. We do not use your private enterprise design data for this purpose without express consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service (including debugging and feature development).
  • Process transactions and fulfill your requests (e.g., scheduling demos).
  • Personalize your experience and analyze usage trends (aggregated or de-identified).
  • Train AI Models: To develop and improve our PPA Intelligence and design AI models. We rely on legitimate business interests or your consent, and you may object to this use at any time.
  • Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and support.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, AI inference providers, analytics) who are bound by strict data protection agreements.
  • Enterprise Customers: If you use the Service as part of an enterprise team, your account activity may be visible to your organization's administrators.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Boltchip or others.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. International Data Protection Standards

Boltchip is headquartered in Singapore and operates under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Because we serve a global B2B client base across regions such as the US, Europe, and Asia, we have designed our data handling practices to align with global privacy standards. Where required by applicable local law, we will implement the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure compliance.

5. Your Data Protection Rights

Regardless of your location, Boltchip grants all users the following baseline rights regarding their personal data:

  • Access & Correction: You may request access to or correction of your personal data.
  • Erasure: You may request that we delete your personal data.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw consent for marketing or AI training at any time.
  • Objection: You may object to our processing of your data based on legitimate interests.

Regardless of your location, Boltchip grants all users the following baseline rights regarding their personal data:

6. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational measures (including encryption and access controls) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We encourage enterprise customers to review our security posture via our DPA.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. For AI training data, we periodically review and delete data that is no longer needed for model development. Enterprise customer data is retained according to the terms of the DPA.

The next generation of chip design

What if you could explore 10X more design possibilities before synthesis?

We are working with a select group of design teams on RTL-stage PPA intelligence. If your synthesis loop is limiting how much you can explore, let's talk.
